CHEESE, no, they say Choking Face.

Choking Face? Relax, although derived from the word "choke", it's nothing to do with the respiratory system, it's safe, and can be so much fun, in fact, everybody in HK likes Choking Face.

Emerged as a common expression about 2 years ago, Choking Face is now widely used by the media and public in HK to describe someone, especially entertainers, who is making effort to turn a dim face to be full of charm in no time when facing a camera. 

It's a term originally used with a sense of sarcasm, yet, people are changing attitude, they are  loving it. With the belief of Choking can make someone look better, there's huge amount of participants, Choking Face has turned into a practical game, a recreational activity, people Choking Face whenever they want, with or without camera, they can chok to a cat or a car or a cup of water. they can chok no matter meeting hot chicks or eating hotdogs in the street.

Choking Face is really a phenomenon in HK, from huge star like Tony Leung, to no namer jack and jill, everyboby CHOKs. they even hold a contest about it, TV star RAY LAM(林峯) won the competition, and as a result , he is well-recongnised as the "choking king" of HK. 

RAY LAM has once revealed in an interview that everyone can chok, and he possessed no special technique on choking."choking is nothing hard to do, every HKer can chok", he said.

But, according to star-want-to-be Jass Leung, it's something out of reach and something"must be trained to learn". The 19-year-old is taking a series of training courses arranged by her management agent. After 3 months, effects just don't show.

" i can do the eyebrow, but it's just the most-easy part, the corner of the mouth is really tricky, and electric-eye is even harder" according to the poor girl, she practices choking 3 hours everyday, her cheek is in pain, her neck can't move, but still, she has little confidence in choking. "maybe i am not pretty enough after all." The girl said.
